Job Summary:

The Department of State Hospitals is seeking a highly skilled Rehabilitation Therapist to join our team in a mental health setting. As a Rehabilitation Therapist, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive rehabilitation services to patients with mental health conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to promote patient recovery and independence.
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify patient needs and goals.
  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions to patients, focusing on cognitive-behavioral techniques, coping skills, and stress management.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and coordination of services.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Rehabilitation Counseling, Clinical Psychology, or a related field.
  • California licensure as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
  • Experience working with patients with mental health conditions, preferably in a hospital or clinical setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
