Job Summary

Madison Area Technical College is seeking a highly motivated and qualified candidate to teach in the Electronics and Electrical Engineering Technology Program. As a part-time faculty member, you will be responsible for instructing adult students at the technical diploma and associate degree levels, as well as providing continuing education and customized training for business and industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement instructional strategies, including alternative delivery methods, to meet the needs of diverse students.
  • Assist and advise students with assignments, tests, grades, and other academic matters.
  • Research, develop, and administer skills assessments to evaluate student performance.
  • Participate in instructional and curriculum articulation activities with other programs and divisions.
  • Comply with college policies and directions regarding student testing, record keeping, and other administrative tasks.
  • Work closely with the College's Business and Industry Services division to support the training needs of business partners and clients.
  • Maintain competencies as an instructor aligned with the Faculty Quality Assurance System.
  • Attend school, program, and advisory committee meetings.
  • Develop and implement strategies aimed at the retention of students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Participate in staff development activities, such as diversity awareness and technology training.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to the college's mission, vision, and values.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Two years or 4,000 hours of related work experience.
  • OR Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field, with two years or 4,000 hours of related work experience, and one of the following: licensure as a Professional Engineer, licensure in Electrical Engineering, or completion of the MSOE transfer instructor preparatory program.
