Job Description

As a Traveling Superintendent, you will be responsible for planning and executing construction projects from start to finish.

You will study specifications to plan procedures for construction, assemble teams of workers, and order procurement of tools and materials.

You will also confer with and direct supervisory personnel and subcontractors to ensure that work is completed on time and within budget.

Additionally, you will inspect work in progress to ensure that workmanship conforms to specifications and the adherence to construction schedules.

You will prepare or review reports on progress, materials used, and costs, and adjust work schedules as indicated by reports.

Other responsibilities include directing workers concerned with major maintenance or reconditioning projects, preparing and reporting payroll, per diem, daily reports, safety rosters, etc.

You will also ensure safety rules and regulations are followed and provide on-the-job training for subordinates.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years as a Commercial Construction Superintendent is required.
  • Experience with ground-up grocery and big box retail projects is a major advantage.
  • Computer skills, including knowledge of Internet, Vista by Viewpoint, Excel, and Word, are preferred.
  • A current Driver's License, CDL preferred, OSHA 30 preferred, First Aid/CPR preferred, Forklift and other Heavy Equipment operation preferred.
  • Ability to speak Spanish is helpful; Experience in both concrete and steel is preferred.
