Job Overview

KE Camps is a leading provider of summer camps for country clubs nationwide, partnering with over 230 private clubs across the country. We offer traditional-style day camps for elementary-aged children, providing an incredible amount of support to our staff.

The ideal candidate will be an active participant in all camp activities, assisting the Camp Director with daily tasks and creating a memorable and meaningful camp experience for campers. As a Summer Day Camp Counselor, you will interact with campers throughout the day, helping them make friends, try new things, and care for their well-being.

Camp Counselor Responsibilities

  • Work with a group of campers to provide a fun, safe, and exciting camp experience.
  • Cooperate with fellow counselors and the Camp Director.
  • Greet families and campers upon arrival.
  • Support the Camp Director in establishing rules and emergency procedures with campers.
  • Participate in all camp activities.
  • Supervise daily swim time in a hands-on manner from within the water.
  • Help out where needed and lead activities when asked by the Camp Director.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

Estimated Salary Range: $30,000 - $40,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

This role offers the opportunity to build critical skills, such as creativity, problem-solving, flexibility, collaboration, organization, planning, and communication. You will also have the chance to network with other staff and camp alumni, and gain hands-on leadership experience supervising a group of campers and leading programs.
