We are looking for a dedicated and passionate Teacher to design and implement a continuous program of activities that foster the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth of each child, in line with the Primrose Balanced Learning approach.

About Primrose School: We are an accredited private preschool offering a premier educational childcare experience, with year-round programs for children from infancy through elementary age.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily functions and supervision of a group of children.
  • Adhere to all rules and regulations set by Primrose School and relevant regulatory agencies regarding the health, safety, and care of children.
  • Continuously assess each child's developmental needs.
  • Implement approved lesson plans and daily schedules according to the Primrose Balanced Learning curriculum.
  • Collaborate with a member of the Leadership Team to plan parent-teacher conferences and student evaluations.
  • Maintain an inviting and well-organized classroom that encourages creativity, exploration, and confident decision-making.
  • Provide verbal recognition and acceptance to children while establishing clear and consistent behavioral expectations.
  • Take responsibility for the upkeep and necessary cleaning of the classroom, common areas, and playgrounds.
  • Attend all required staff meetings, workshops, and school events.
  • Maintain a professional appearance in accordance with the Primrose School Employee Handbook.
  • Assist in other duties as determined necessary by the Director or designee.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Must meet the basic requirements of the local child care regulatory agency.
  • Previous experience in a teaching or assistant teaching role within a licensed early childhood program is preferred.
  • Understanding of the social, emotional, and creative needs of young children.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. for the safety and facilitation of programs, including emergency situations.
  • For Infant and Young Toddler teachers, the ability to properly lift infants in and out of cribs is required.
  • Infant - Preschool Teachers: A 2-year degree in early childhood or a related field is preferred.
  • Pre-Kindergarten Teachers: A 4-year degree in early childhood or a related field is required.
  • Kindergarten Teacher: A 4-year degree in early childhood and certification to teach in the state of operation is required.

Compensation: $16.00 per hour
