Job Title: Checkout Specialist

Estimated Salary: $40,000 - $55,000 per year

We are looking for a skilled Checkout Specialist to join our team at Walmart. In this role, you will be responsible for processing transactions, managing cash, and maintaining a clean and organized checkout area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale system, handling cash, credit cards, and other forms of payment.
  • Maintain a balanced cash drawer, reconcile transactions, and follow security protocols to prevent theft.
  • Stay informed about current promotions, sales, and product offerings to effectively promote add-on sales and upselling opportunities.
  • Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, including regular sanitizing of surfaces and equipment.
  • Communicate effectively with other team members and supervisors to coordinate tasks and ensure seamless operations.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous cashier or customer service experience is advantageous but not required.
  • Strong numerical aptitude and basic math skills for accurately processing transactions and handling cash.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
