Job Summary

The University of Washington is seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Care Practitioner to join our team. As a key member of our Respiratory Care Team, you will provide advanced respiratory care to patients of all ages, from newborn to geriatric.

Key Responsibilities

  • Utilize the respiratory care process to recommend, delegate, coordinate, and provide safe, therapeutic respiratory care to patients.
  • Make independent judgments and decisions regarding routine and complex patient issues.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to coordinate continuity of patient care from admission through discharge.
  • Perform leadership functions related to clinical practice, education, and management as delegated by the Department Manager.
  • Serve as a role model and provide guidance to other staff members.

Requirements

  • Completion of a respiratory care program approved by the State of Washington Department of Health or equivalent education/experience.
  • Must be RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist).
