We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Professional Nurse to join our team at MercyOne Clinton Medical Center. As a Registered Professional Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and promoting a culture of excellence and compassion.
Key Responsibilities- Practice within the legal scope of a Registered Professional Nurse as outlined in the Iowa Nurse Practice Act (2006); retains accountability for one's own nursing practice.
- Responsible for planning, assessing, intervening, co-coordinating and providing direct patient care by utilizing critical thinking skills.
- Communicates with physicians, ancillary care-givers, patients and families regarding the patient's plan of care.
- Fulfills the responsibility of holistic (body, mind and spirit) nursing care based on the mission, vision and values of MercyOne Clinton Medical Center.
- Performs assessments including physical, psychosocial, nutritional, functional, safety, spiritual, cultural, and educational needs.
- Active registration for Registered Nurse - Board of Nursing, State of Iowa.
- Must be BLS certified within 3 months of hire.
- Must be ACLS and PALS certified within one year of hire.
- TNCC within one year of hire.
- Associate degree or diploma from an accredited school of nursing.
- Baccalaureate degree in nursing preferred; must obtain within 6 years of hire, effective 04/01/2012.
- Certification by a nationally recognized nursing organization preferred.
- Must possess excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Must be capable of problem solving, critical thinking, and assessment of patient condition.
- Experience preferred.
- Must possess a personal presence that is characterized by a sense of honesty, integrity, and caring with the ability to inspire and motivate others to promote the philosophy, mission and vision, goals, and values of Trinity Health.
