Cayuga Health System is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nursing Assistant to join our team. As a Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting the nursing team in delivering high-quality healthcare services.
Key Responsibilities:- Obtain vital signs and report any abnormalities to the RN.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) and prevent complications.
- Ambulate and reposition patients as scheduled or as needed.
- Reinforce education with patients on topics such as incentive spirometer use and fall prevention.
- Assist patients with maintaining a clean and organized bedside area.
- Remain flexible and assist both patients and teammates as needed.
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrable history of honesty, calmness, reliability, compassion, and caring towards customers and coworkers.
- CNA certification.
- Previous patient care experience.
- Repetitive use of hands and fingers.
- Lifting and carrying light loads (up to 40 lbs).
- Sitting, walking, or standing for long periods of time.
Onsite at our Main Campus. Full Time - 5x 8 hours shifts. Nights - between 11p and 7am.
Pay Range Disclosure:Standard Rate of $19.50 per hour plus benefits. OR Enhanced Rate of $21.93 per hour w/o benefits.
