As a Pharmacy Intern Grad at Walgreens, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the efficient operation of our pharmacy. You will be responsible for dispensing medications, counseling patients on proper medication use, and maintaining accurate records. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
• Dispense medications accurately and efficiently, ensuring that all prescriptions are filled correctly and in a timely manner.
• Counsel patients on proper medication use, including potential side effects, interactions, and contraindications.
• Maintain accurate records of patient interactions, medication dispensing, and other pharmacy-related activities.
• Collaborate with pharmacy staff to ensure the efficient operation of the pharmacy, including managing inventory, processing insurance claims, and maintaining accurate records.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in pharmacy practice, including new medications, treatments, and technologies.
Requirements:
• Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited educational institution prior to the start date in position.
• Pharmacist licensure from the respective Board of Pharmacy in the states within the district within 90 days of hire per district guidelines.
• Experience performing prescription dispensing activities that demonstrate a strong working knowledge of applicable state and federal controlled substance laws.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.
