Avera Behavioral Health Center seeks a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team in the Child and Adolescent Behavioral Health Unit. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children and adolescents struggling with mental health challenges.

As a Registered Nurse in our unit, you will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide compassionate care to patients and their families. Your expertise will be essential in creating a structured and age-appropriate therapeutic environment that promotes patient well-being and supports their recovery journey.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care to children and adolescents facing mental health challenges
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each patient
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care and support for patients and their families
  • Participate in education and training initiatives to enhance knowledge and skills in child and adolescent behavioral health
Requirements:
  • Graduate from a CCNE or NLN accredited nursing program is strongly preferred
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of South Dakota and/or meeting the requirements of multi-state licensure required
  • Certification in specialty preferred/Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing
