Working Hours: 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m., Monday-Friday
Compensation: $18.00 per hour
Shift Premium: Additional $1.50 for hours worked between 6pm-6am
Arrow Electronics is in search of a dedicated and proactive Warehouse Associate to support our state-of-the-art Warehouse Logistics center. This position will concentrate on the essential tasks of receiving, picking, storing, packing, and shipping products. As a Warehouse Associate II, you will be expected to demonstrate excellence in safety, quality, attention to detail, teamwork, and dependability. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with various operations within the distribution center, including receiving, picking, storing, packing, and shipping
- Move, store, and stage products efficiently
- Meet quality and productivity benchmarks
- Prepare and finalize shipping orders using RF scanners, documentation, and packaging
- Conduct data entry, merchandise scan-ins, and maintain accurate inventory records
- Construct shipping boxes tailored to product specifications
- Generate shipping labels for multiple carriers by accurately inputting product details; potential for creating international shipping documents
- Utilize various computer systems to consolidate orders, complete commercial invoices, and generate shipping labels
- Receive, verify, stage, and stock incoming materials, either independently or collaboratively
- Participate in optional training for forklift operation and OSHA10 as available
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment while adhering to safety protocols
- Inspect and care for warehouse equipment, including pallet jacks and basic tools
- Report any equipment issues or required repairs to the appropriate channels
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of relevant experience preferred
- Previous experience in a warehouse setting is advantageous, but not mandatory
- Proficient in basic computer functions (e.g., data entry, interpreting information from screens) on warehouse systems (e.g., terminals, tablets, scanners)
- Strong attention to detail is essential
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend the English language
- Experience with forklifts, stack pickers, and/or manual pallet jacks is a plus
- This role requires standing or walking for extended periods and the ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs)
- Collaborate effectively with team members, leads, and supervisors to achieve departmental production and quality objectives
- Comfortable working under high productivity and quality standards
- Demonstrate teamwork and collaboration
- Ensure a safe working environment by following established safety guidelines
- Maintain organization, cleanliness, and 5S standards within the facility and personal workspace
- Reliability and consistent attendance for scheduled shifts, including potential overtime, are crucial
