Position Overview:

The Accountant will thrive in a small office setting, demonstrating exceptional organizational skills while managing all financial data and reporting. Responsibilities will encompass daily operations, month-end closings, and year-end financial processes, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll processing, general ledger maintenance, invoicing, reconciliation, auditing, and various finance-related duties. The Accountant will be adept at generating clear and concise financial reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Management of Accounts Receivable and Payable
  • Processing Creditor Payments
  • Oversight of Fixed Assets
  • Payroll Administration
  • Preparation of General Journals and Accruals
  • Reconciliation of General Ledger and Balance Sheet
  • Conducting Bank Reconciliations
  • Generating Monthly Expense Reports
  • Reconciliation of AMEX Monthly Bills
  • Preparation and Submission of Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual Reports, including Expenses, Payroll, Health Insurance Renewals, and Workers Compensation
  • Collaboration with External Auditors for Fiscal Year Audit Reports and Tax Return Filings
  • Management of Tradeshow Expo Contracts and Payments
  • Communication with the Bureau of Engraving & Printing

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in Accounting, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, general ledger, invoicing, reconciliation, and audits
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred
  • Experience with Peachtree and SAGE software
  • Familiarity with GAAP and/or IFRS is preferred

Benefits:

  • Annual salary range of $65,000 - $75,000
  • Paid Time Off, including Holidays and Sick Days
