ROLE DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking both part-time and full-time Therapists to engage in our Intensive Outpatient Programs, working approximately 30 hours per week. Our Therapists will provide support to adults, adolescents, children, and families, primarily in group settings, with some individual and family therapy involved. Experience in group therapy, particularly with adolescents and children, as well as familiarity with evidence-based practices, is highly valued. Current group modalities include CBT, DBT, Psychodynamic Process, Multi-Family Psychoeducation, and Experiential Therapies such as Art, Mindfulness, and Meditation. Evening shifts may be necessary at certain locations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure the welfare of clients and uphold the integrity of the program.
  • Deliver effective family, group, and individual psychotherapy.
  • Stay informed about mental health, dual diagnosis, CBT, DBT, and family systems approaches.
  • Conduct client assessments upon admission and as required.
  • Provide accurate diagnoses and treatment recommendations based on client history and symptoms.
  • Offer crisis intervention services as needed.
  • Collaborate with agency staff, caregivers, and other professionals.
  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation as required.
  • Facilitate appropriate discharge planning for clients.
  • Align with the mission and philosophy of Balance Treatment Center.
  • Engage in treatment planning processes.
  • Conduct utilization reviews as necessary.
  • Participate in training and educational workshops.
  • Attend all mandatory staff meetings and training sessions.
  • Adhere to current legal standards related to professional practice and reporting requirements.
  • Demonstrate respect for the diverse cultural and lifestyle backgrounds of clients and colleagues.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • LMFT, LPCC, LCSW, AMFT, ACSW, or equivalent clinical credentials.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in treating individuals with mental health or substance use disorders.
  • Preferred training in DBT, ACT, EMDR, Mindfulness, or other evidence-based methodologies.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively and communicate with diverse groups.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
