Senior Reactor Operator Specialist

Job Summary

Thomas Thor is seeking a highly skilled Senior Reactor Operator Specialist to provide instruction to licensed operators and candidates.

Key Responsibilities

• In-depth knowledge of the SAT process per ACAD 02-001 and industry standard governance.

• Analyze and design operations training lesson materials, developing a curriculum that meets industry standards.

• Implement operations training in the classroom and simulator, ensuring a comprehensive learning experience.

• Integrate program curriculum into a predictable training schedule, promoting effective learning and retention.

• Analyze student performance gaps and apply appropriate remediation, ensuring students meet industry standards.

• Provide oversight of student behaviors and demonstration of knowledge comprehension, promoting a positive learning environment.

• Resolve programmatic gaps from student feedback and management observations, continuously improving the training program.

• Timely communication of program challenges and student academic performance gaps, ensuring stakeholders are informed.

Qualifications

Education:

• BS degree preferred in engineering or physical science.

• Previous INPO ICP or site certified instructor experience is a plus.

Experience:

• Minimum 5+ years certified as Senior Reactor Operator Certified instructor (or licensed SRO) on PWR design.

• Preferred experience in providing knowledge and skills-based training to students in an accredited program, executing the SAT process, and managing the Vision software database.
