Job Title: Land Surveyor

Chastain & Associates LLC is seeking a skilled Land Surveyor to join our team in Decatur, IL. As a key member of our survey team, you will be responsible for conducting fieldwork operations and performing technical duties related to land surveying.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct field surveys to collect data and information related to land boundaries, topography, and other features.
  • Operate and maintain survey equipment, including GPS and data collectors.
  • Manage and analyze survey data to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Collaborate with other departments to provide support and assistance with project-related tasks.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders to ensure excellent customer service.

Requirements:
  • Experience in land surveying, preferably with a focus on transportation or infrastructure projects.
  • Proficiency in operating Trimble GPS/VRS and data collectors.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
