Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated full-time therapist to join our Residential Treatment Program, which has been a cornerstone of our Substance Use Disorder services since 1974. The ideal candidate should possess flexibility to work on a Saturday/Sunday rotation and participate in an on-call clinical rotation. While licensure is preferred (LCSW, LMHC, LMFT), we also welcome master's level graduates who are registered interns in the State of Florida and are in the process of obtaining their licensing hours. Experience in addressing substance use disorders, as well as mental and eating disorders, is highly desirable.

Position Type: Full Time

Working Hours: Tuesday - Saturday

Our Mission:

At Wayside House, we strive to create a nurturing environment that assists women in overcoming drug and alcohol dependence. We provide essential tools to help them rebuild their lives, reconnect with loved ones, and recover from addiction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of 10 clients.
  • Conduct Individual and Family Therapy sessions.
  • Facilitate Group Therapy sessions.
  • Ensure documentation meets DCF licensure requirements as outlined in relevant statutes and regulations.
  • Determine client diagnoses based on DSM-5 criteria.
  • Possess knowledge of ASAM Criteria and conduct level of care assessments.
  • Assess for Substance Use Disorders, Eating Disorders, and Mental Health issues.
  • Evaluate suicidality risk and implement appropriate interventions.
  • Perform administrative tasks related to client intake.
  • Complete additional duties as assigned.

  • Kipu Health EMR
  • Carisk

Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Mental Health, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 1-3 years of clinical experience is required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to engage with culturally diverse groups and individuals to achieve common goals.
  • Collaborative and professional approach to community partnerships.
  • Excellent organizational skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Must pass all annual criminal background checks.

Licensure Requirements:

  • LMHC
  • MFT
  • LCSW
  • Registered Intern: MHC, MFT, or SW
