Dietitian - Nutrition Care Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Dietitian to join our team at CHI St. Alexius Health Dickinson. As a Clinical/Consultant Dietitian, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional nutrition care to our patients, while also collaborating with our healthcare team to drive patient satisfaction and outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Comprehensive Nutrition Care: Develop and implement individualized nutrition plans for patients, including screening, assessment, intervention, and discharge planning.
- Deliver Culturally Sensitive Nutrition Counseling: Provide age and culturally specific nutrition counseling to patients, outpatients, and their families, promoting healthy eating habits and lifestyle changes.
- Collaborate with Healthcare Team: Work closely with the Nutrition Department to develop and implement individual nutrition intervention plans, ensuring seamless care coordination.
- Stay Current with Industry Trends: Stay up-to-date with the latest nutrition-related research, policy, certifications, registrations, and standards of practice, as well as federal, state, and local regulations.
- Communicate Effectively: Develop and present nutrition education classes, articles, and handouts to facility and public audiences, promoting healthy eating habits and lifestyle changes.
- Consult with Contracted Accounts: Provide nutrition care and consulting services to contracted accounts, communicating with facility administrators and account representatives as needed.
- Write Orders and Laboratory Data: Write orders for diet, supplements, enteral/parenteral nutrition, and laboratory data, adhering to hospital policy.
- Professional Dietetic License: Possess a current professional dietetic license.
- Bachelor's Degree in Dietetics: Hold a Bachelor's degree in Dietetics or a related field.
- Registered through Commission of Dietetic Registration: Be registered through the Commission on Dietetic Registration within four months of hire date.
- Effective Communication Skills: Possess excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
- Computer Proficiency: Be proficient with computers and computer applications used in the healthcare setting.
