Configuration Center Technician Associate

Location: On-Site

Duration: 6-Month Contract

About TEKsystems: We are seeking a Configuration Center Technician Associate to support our clients' IT requirements and ensure seamless operations.

Job Overview:

We are in search of a motivated individual to join our configuration center team. Your responsibilities will encompass unpacking equipment, imaging laptops and PCs, preparing items for dispatch, diagnosing hardware issues, and more. This position necessitates on-site attendance from Monday to Friday during the first shift and involves considerable physical activity, including standing and carrying. There may also be occasional local travel to client locations for hardware deliveries or pickups, with mileage reimbursement available.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provision and configure IT devices efficiently according to customer specifications.
  • Perform basic kitting of equipment tailored to customer needs.
  • Manage the unboxing, re-boxing, and processing of equipment for shipment.
  • Clean, test, and inspect IT devices thoroughly.
  • Report any technical issues to your supervisor promptly.
  • Engage in departmental meetings and contribute to process improvements.
  • Carry out any additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

This hands-on entry-level position supports team workload. While technical certifications are preferred, they are not mandatory. The selected candidate will be encouraged to pursue relevant certifications within their first year of employment.

Physical Requirements:

This role entails regular lifting, carrying, standing, bending, and transporting IT equipment. Basic tools, cleaning solutions, and IT component assembly may also be required. Additionally, the ability to type, operate a computer, communicate effectively, and follow instructions is crucial.

Experience Level:

  • High School Diploma or GED, with at least 1 year of experience (preferred) or relevant training.
