Job Summary:

As a Registered Nurse with Kaiser Permanente, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and patient-centered environment. Your primary responsibility will be to provide high-quality nursing care to patients in our primary care setting.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Initiating and performing nursing care through health promotion, supportive or restorative care, disease prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of human disease.
  • Developing and sustaining productive relationships with patients and their families.
  • Coordinating and integrating care between healthcare services to ensure appropriate utilization of healthcare resources.

Requirements include:

  • Minimum one year of experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) required.
  • Graduate of a board-approved RN program and completed a minimum of 750 clock hours of faculty-planned clinical experience and guided learning activities.
  • Registered Nurse License (Colorado) required.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Ensures patient safety in the preparation and provisioning of care related to medications, procedures, infection prevention, and fall prevention.
  • Reports safety hazards, accidents, and incidents, and unsafe working conditions promptly.
  • Triages patients either in person or via telephone and implements proper course of action in accordance with established protocol or in consultation with a provider.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum one year of experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) required.
  • Education: Graduate of a board-approved RN program and completed a minimum of 750 clock hours of faculty-planned clinical experience and guided learning activities.
  • License, Certification, Registration: Registered Nurse License (Colorado) required.

Additional Requirements:

  • Demonstrated customer service skills, customer focus abilities, and the ability to understand Kaiser Permanente customer needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • National Provider Identifier (NPI) and Taxonomy code at time of hire preferred and is required for some specialties.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification preferred and is required for some specialties.

This is an on-call position for our Acero and Pueblo North medical office buildings, with location based on staffing need. May also include Saturdays.
