Overview

The American Red Cross is a humanitarian organization dedicated to helping people in need throughout the United States and worldwide. As a Phlebotomy Specialist, you will play a critical role in our mission by assisting with blood collection at our fixed site locations.

About the Job

This full-time position offers a competitive salary of $22.25 per hour, plus benefits. You will work a variable schedule, including weekends, and enjoy 2 consecutive days off. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Creating a welcoming environment for volunteer donors
  • Collaborating with your team to meet safety procedures and collect lifesaving blood donations
  • Providing exceptional customer service to donors

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • A minimum of one year of customer service experience in a public setting
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull heavy weights and adapt to long, irregular hours

Preferred Qualifications

Prior healthcare or phlebotomy experience is preferred, as well as prior leadership experience.
