About the Role:
The Computed Tomography Technologist is a vital member of our diagnostic imaging team at ThedaCare. This role requires a high level of technical expertise and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic CT scans, including interventional radiology procedures, on patients with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Evaluate image quality and utilize proper radiation safety practices to ensure patient safety.
- Provide professional, empathetic, and compassionate care to patients, families, and significant others.
- Demonstrate working knowledge of equipment and safety practices in the areas of CT department, interventional radiology, emergency department, inpatient, and outpatient services.
- Exhibit competency and skills needed to perform CT scans, including interventional radiology and cardiology procedures per protocol.
- Complete department tasks, such as stocking supplies, checking outdated supplies, performing safety audits or tracking, and cleaning rooms and equipment.
- Provide practical instruction for students and other healthcare professionals.
- Show competency in intravenous access and administration of contrast in accordance with established protocols.
- Complete documentation on time and accurately in accordance with department policy/procedure.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Graduate of an accredited radiography program
- American Registry Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Wisconsin license
Work Environment:
The Computed Tomography Technologist will work in a climate-controlled office environment with frequent sitting and movement throughout the office space. The role may involve occasional exposure to sharp objects and instruments, moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock.
Schedule:
The scheduled weekly hours for this role are 34 hours, with a scheduled FTE of 0.85. The schedule includes working on Fridays from 8pm-7am, Saturdays from 7pm-7am, and Sundays from 7pm-6am, with no call and holiday rotation included.
