Key Responsibilities
  • Pre-Operative Preparation: Prepare the operating room and equipment for each procedure, ensuring a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
  • Surgical Assistance: Assist surgeons and other medical staff during procedures, providing support and maintaining a sterile field.
  • Equipment Management: Operate and maintain various types of equipment used in the operating room, ensuring proper function and safety.
  • Patient Care: Provide exceptional patient care, including positioning, transporting, and maintaining patient safety and comfort.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication and efficient workflow.
Requirements
  • Education: Completion of an accredited or approved program in Surgical Technology.
  • Experience: Requires 1 year of experience in an operating room setting.
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST).
Physical Demands
  • Lifting: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds from floor to waist.
  • Pushing/Pulling: Ability to push/pull with 30 pounds of force.
  • Standing/Walking: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
