Pediatric Urologist Position

The Department of Urology at the University of Virginia is seeking a highly qualified Pediatric Urologist to join our team as an Assistant Professor on the tenure-eligible track.

The successful candidate will participate in ambulatory clinic and procedures at UVA Health and UVA Community health sites, operating at UVA Hospital in the Main and Outpatient operating rooms, and have the opportunity to operate at affiliated hospitals and surgery centers.

As a member of our team, you will be responsible for teaching and mentoring residents and students, conducting research in basic science or clinical outcomes, and contributing to university service through membership in departmental, college-level, and university committees.

The successful candidate will have a drive to be a leader in pediatric urology patient care delivery and in furthering the education of residents/students.

We offer excellent clinic support, including dedicated RN clinical coordinators and clinic and surgery schedulers, as well as access to state-of-the-art robotics, laparoscopy, and laser technology.

Salary and rank are dependent upon qualifications and experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Clinical: Participate in ambulatory clinic and procedures at UVA Health and UVA Community health sites.
  • Teaching: Teach and mentor residents and students.
  • Research: Conduct research in basic science or clinical outcomes.
  • Service: Contribute to university service through membership in departmental, college-level, and university committees.

Qualifications:

  • MD or DO, completion of residency training in Urology, completion of Pediatric Urology fellowship.
  • Experience in an Academic medical center.
  • Demonstrated experience in undergraduate and graduate medical education.
  • Board-certified or board-eligible and certified within two years of employment.
