Job Title: Court Services Deputy

Job Summary:

The Court Services Deputy is a part-time, non-union position responsible for providing a safe environment for citizens, courts, and employees of the facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in law enforcement and security protocols, with the ability to work effectively under stress and in emergency situations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide security patrols and contraband searches of courtrooms and interior areas
  • Direct the opening and closing of courtrooms
  • Assist law enforcement officers in guarding prisoners and moving them in and out of court
  • Enforce court or facility policies and rules
  • Provide directions and general information to persons entering the building

Requirements:

  • High school diploma and a minimum of one year of experience in law enforcement and/or complex security setting
  • MCOLES certification or certifiable upon appointment
  • Michigan Vehicle Operator's License
  • No prior or expunged felony convictions

Work Environment:
