Position Overview:
As a Physical Therapist PRN at BMH Bronson Methodist Hospital, you will be responsible for evaluating, planning, and delivering medically prescribed physical therapy interventions for patients with various injuries and conditions affecting their physical function. Your role is crucial in enhancing patient strength, alleviating pain, and promoting independence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough evaluations of patient functional abilities and disabilities, utilizing standardized assessments.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to discuss patient care and treatment plans.
- Establish educational programs for patients and their families.
- Document all evaluations, treatment plans, and patient progress in compliance with established timelines.
- Supervise and mentor Physical Therapy Assistants, students, and volunteers.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
- A degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program.
- A valid Physical Therapist license in the State of Michigan.
- Current BLS certification within three months of hire.
- A valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance.
Work Environment:
This position involves a mix of standing, walking, and light lifting, with responsibilities that may include operating a personal computer for documentation purposes.
