Position Overview: Join our dynamic team at TJ Maxx, where style and cleanliness go hand in hand. As a vital member of our store, you will play a key role in ensuring a pristine shopping environment for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a tidy and organized store atmosphere with a strong emphasis on floor maintenance.
  • Operate cleaning equipment such as scrubbers and buffers, ensuring all floor care standards are met.
  • Perform various cleaning tasks including dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, and spot cleaning windows and glass surfaces.
  • Uphold all operational and merchandise standards while adhering to loss prevention protocols.
  • Collaborate with team members across different store areas to meet business needs.
  • Exemplify exceptional customer service practices with both internal and external customers.
  • Support a positive store culture through integrity, respect, and teamwork.
  • Participate in store recovery efforts throughout the day to maintain a welcoming environment.
  • Communicate effectively with management and fellow associates regarding store operations.
  • Follow all health and safety policies, including maintaining essential supplies in various store areas.
  • Engage in safety awareness initiatives to foster a secure workplace.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Strong customer service skills with a focus on satisfaction.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to accommodate store needs.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Physical capability to perform cleaning tasks and operate floor care equipment.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Capacity to lift heavy items with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Collaborative team player, working well with colleagues and supervisors.
  • Previous retail experience is preferred.
