Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Construction Project Manager to join our team at Jobot. As a key member of our construction management team, you will be responsible for overseeing and directing commercial construction projects from conception to completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all aspects of construction project management, including planning, implementation, and budgeting.
  • Allocate resources for assigned projects, ensuring timely completion and quality standards.
  • Supervise onsite personnel and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and regulations.
  • Negotiate with contractors to secure reasonable order costs and ensure quality workmanship.
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship, adhering to original plans and specifications.
  • Prepare internal and external reports on job status, including budget updates and progress tracking.
  • Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve emerging issues, ensuring project continuity.
  • Analyze, manage, and mitigate risks, ensuring project success.
  • Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.
  • Manage the budget and estimate costs, ensuring project financial stability.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal requirements, building and safety codes, safety inspections, city guidelines, and local and state regulations.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in project management within the construction industry.
  • Proven working experience in commercial construction project management.
  • Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means, and methods.
  • Expertise in blueprint reading, project planning, and construction scheduling.
  • Competency in handling negotiations and managing budgets.
  • Proficient in subcontractor management and quality control.
  • Understanding of all facets of the construction process.
  • Familiarity with construction and project management software programs.
  • Ability to plan and see the "big picture".
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • A team player with leadership abilities.
  • BSc/BA in engineering, building science, or relevant field.
  • PMP or equivalent certification would be considered an asset.
