Job Summary:

Nelson County Schools is seeking a skilled Cafeteria Cook to join our team. As a Cafeteria Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality meals to our students and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook a variety of meals, including breakfast, lunch, and snacks
• Ensure that all food is prepared and served in a safe and sanitary environment
• Monitor food temperatures and maintain proper storage procedures
• Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies
• Provide excellent customer service to students and staff
• Work effectively in a team environment to ensure smooth operation of the cafeteria

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• One year of experience in food preparation and service preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods

Working Conditions:

The Cafeteria Cook will work in a kitchen environment with exposure to heat, steam, and cleaning chemicals. The position requires standing for long periods, lifting, and bending.
