Job Overview

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A RESTORATION TECHNICIAN

As a Restoration Technician, you will deliver urgent recovery and restoration services to clients facing disasters. Your role involves hands-on work with water damage, fire recovery, mold remediation, biohazard cleanup, demolition, and construction tasks. You will be an essential part of the team, contributing to various service lines and ensuring that projects are executed efficiently and effectively.

Your responsibilities will include loading and unloading materials and tools, setting up drying equipment for structures, performing vehicle maintenance, cleaning and preparing job sites, and conducting emergency board-ups or roof tarping. You will uphold all Environmental, Health, and Safety standards to maintain a secure job site.

Flexibility is key in this role, as you will assist your team wherever necessary and be available for emergency calls, including after-hours and weekends. Your dedication to providing a positive experience for clients during challenging times will reassure them that First Onsite is their trusted restoration partner. You will take pride in your daily contributions and enjoy being part of a team that fosters your professional growth and development.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum requirements include:
    • Basic computer proficiency - MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
    • Fundamental ability to operate industry-specific tools and equipment
    • Effective communication skills with coworkers, supervisors, and clients
  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
  • A valid driver's license is required

SPECIAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment while managing stress to meet deadlines and handle competing priorities
  • Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and respond to emergencies 24/7
  • Regular and reliable attendance is essential
  • May require attendance at disaster sites and exposure to hazardous conditions; travel may be necessary
