We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facility Maintenance Technician to join our team at JBS USA Holdings, Inc. in a 1st shift role. The successful candidate will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of our facility equipment, ensuring optimal performance and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and adjust the water treatment facility's performance to ensure effective treatment and pumping of the water supply.
- Monitor and maintain the refrigeration system, ensuring proper cold room and freezing tunnel temperatures.
- Perform diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and other plant equipment.
- Resolve maintenance and mechanical problems promptly, with minimal disruption to production schedules.
- Follow all lock out, tag out procedures.
- Perform equipment PMs, minor equipment repair, and replace parts as needed.
- Complete maintenance recordkeeping and update maintenance history logs.
- Account for equipment used for maintenance and repair.
- Understand and follow company GMP policy and safety rules.
- Clean and maintain work area.
- May be required to work long hours and weekends.
- May assume other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent certification.
- At least 2 years of industrial maintenance experience required.
- Ammonia refrigeration experience preferred.
- Wastewater treatment plant experience preferred.
- Possesses the skills needed to repair, maintain, and troubleshoot machinery.
- Ability to speak, read, and write English.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
- Must be well-organized with good attention to detail.
- Display strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Adaptable and dependable with ability to follow direction and work cooperatively with others.
- Must maintain a helpful and professional attitude and appearance.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed, but uninvolved, instructions and to deal with problems involving a few different variables.
- Very active position, requiring standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day.
- Must be able to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information.
- Must be able to frequently and regularly use wrists, hands, and or fingers.
- Acute close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds throughout the day.
Must be able to work for long hours in a no-kill food processing environment, where it is wet, damp, and cold. Temperatures 34 degrees and employees are expected to remain in these conditions for most of their workdays.
