Job Summary

Centurion Health is seeking a Full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Substance Use Disorder team at Maryland Correctional Institution Jessup. The successful candidate will provide holistic nursing care to incarcerated patients while working under the direction of Registered Nurses and medical and psychiatric staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing care within the appropriate scope of practice to respond to a range of physical and behavioral health needs.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to address the complex needs of patients.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to promote patient well-being and recovery.
  • Conduct assessments, administer medications, and provide education to patients and their families.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Active LPN license to practice in Maryland.
  • Minimum of two years of experience working in a community or correctional based substance abuse clinic.
  • Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/ BLS.
  • Current tuberculosis documentation.
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check.
