Sterile Processing Lead

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Sterile Processing Lead to oversee the daily operations of our Sterile Processing Department at Southpoint Surgery Center, an affiliate of North Carolina Specialty Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring proper care and maintenance of all surgical instrumentation, equipment, and sterilization processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise the daily operation of the Sterile Processing Department and staff.
- Collect, review, and store documentation required for verification of decontamination/sterilization.
- Verify performance and documentation of Quality Improvement (QI) for SPD processes and equipment.
- Collect data and prepare reports to support Performance Improvement recommendations.
- Staff the department adequately for daily schedules.
- Review and revise policies and procedures as needed.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent experience.
- Completion of Sterile Processing Program from an accredited institution or equivalent clinical experience in SPD.
- Certification required for Supervisor position along with 3-5 years of experience in SPD department.
- Effective communication skills; both orally and written.
- Computer skills needed.
