Job Summary

Baptist Health is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Security Officer II to join our team. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our premises and personnel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patrol premises and monitor surveillance equipment to prevent losses and damage
  • Inspect buildings, equipment, and access points to ensure security and safety
  • Permit entry and prevent unauthorized access
  • Report irregularities and inform violators of policy and procedures
  • Restrict trespassers and maintain a safe environment
  • Communicate effectively with Security supervisor and other stakeholders
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent GED
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Ability to achieve Basic Life Support, BLS certification within 90 days of hire
  • Ability to successfully achieve Taser X-26 certification, baton and hand-cuff training
  • Former experience with a law enforcement agency, and/or military experience preferred
  • Certified Healthcare Security officer (CHSO) with International Association of Healthcare Security and Safety certification required
