">HCA Florida St. Petersburg Hospital is a 215-bed acute care hospital located in Pinellas County, Florida. We are Joint Commission accredited and provide emergency, diagnostic, medical, and surgical services. Our women's services include labor and delivery, post-partum, and nursery care.
Our hospital has been recognized for its excellence in patient care, including being an accredited advanced primary stroke center and chest pain center. We are also a certified atrial fibrillation center and an accredited community cancer center. Additionally, we have been named a Blue Distinction Center+ for maternity care and are accredited as a breast center with digital imaging and computer-aided detection.
We offer a range of services, including pelvic pain and incontinence care, orthopedic care for joint replacement and spine surgery, and robotic surgery training.
A Day in the Life of a Clinical Nurse Coordinator
">As a Clinical Nurse Coordinator in our Emergency Department, you will be responsible for ensuring and delivering high-quality patient-centered care and coordination of all functions in the unit/department during your designated shift. You will work collaboratively with other members of the management team to direct, monitor, and evaluate nursing care in accordance with established policies/procedures.
You will serve as a resource person for staff and model a commitment to the organization's vision/mission/values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes that contribute to overall departmental performance.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:

- Assisting with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality patient-centered care.">
- Participating in the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the unit, in collaboration with other members of the management team.">
- Collaborating with subject matter experts and other managers to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service.">
- Supporting a patient-first philosophy and engaging in service recovery when necessary.">
- Supporting the efforts of the facility to improve engagement by operationalizing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives.">
- Providing recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff. Recommending and implementing courses of action, including training and development, conflict resolution, personnel policy compliance, completion of performance evaluations, and/or disciplinary actions to ensure a competitively better organization.">
- Assisting with staff scheduling. Managing all practical aspects of staff labor in accordance with patient care needs and established productivity guidelines.">
- Supporting proper inventory control and assisting with managing supplies and equipment.">
Your Qualifications:
">To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Registered Nurse diploma, Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date, Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date, Emergency Nurse Pediatric Cour, or PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt certification within 30 days of employment start date.

Estimated Salary Range: $80,000 - $110,000 per year
