Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional care to our residents, including assisting with daily living activities, providing personal care, and maintaining a safe and clean environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist residents with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, in a respectful and dignified manner.
  • Provide personal care, including toileting, feeding, and transferring, with a focus on resident comfort and well-being.
  • Monitor and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff, ensuring timely and effective interventions.
  • Assist with range of motion exercises and other therapeutic activities, promoting resident mobility and independence.
  • Participate in maintaining a safe and clean environment, including cleaning and disinfecting equipment and surfaces, to prevent the spread of infection.
Requirements:
  • Current certification by the New York State Department of Health.
  • Ability to lift residents (minimum 50 pounds) and turn and position numerous times during the course of a work day.
  • Ability to transfer a resident from sitting to standing position and vice versa.
  • Ability to climb stairs, bend, maneuver equipment, and push small carts.
  • LTC experience a plus.
