Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Acute Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner to serve as a Pediatric Surgery provider. This role is integral to the care of pediatric patients at a leading children's hospital.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with a skilled team of Pediatric General Surgeons and experienced Advanced Practice Nurses.
  • Provide care for Pediatric Surgery patients in inpatient settings and potentially assist in the operating room, depending on qualifications.
  • Rotate through the outpatient Pediatric Surgery Clinic to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Manage weekend shifts on a rotational basis.
  • Facilitate patient discharges, coordinate necessary equipment and outpatient services, and establish home health services.
  • Prepare patients for surgical procedures and deliver real-time education to families and healthcare staff.
  • Conduct post-operative assessments, manage wound care, and collaborate with various specialties to enhance patient outcomes.
