We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Medical-Surgical Stepdown 9E team at Mount Sinai Hospital. As a Per Diem Clinical Nurse, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to our patients and families.
Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality patient care by incorporating the principles of Relationship Centered Care and the nursing process.
- Assess and evaluate patient care needs, applying critical thinking skills to manage patient care.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop, implement, and evaluate the plan of care.
- Prioritize patient care, including teaching, rounding, coaching, and planning after hospital care, and delegate tasks as appropriate.
- Educate patients and caregivers about their plan of care, transition of care, promotion of health, and prevention of disease.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, family, and the interdisciplinary patient care team.
- Manage assignments within the Care Delivery Model of Modified Primary Nursing and demonstrate effective allocation of resources.
- Graduation from an accredited Nursing program.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) or Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) with current registration in New York State.
- Relevant clinical competence in the area of nursing practice assigned.
- Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
