Senior Training Coordinator for TLAM Exercises

Sigma Defense is on the lookout for a seasoned military educator specializing in SLAMEX/TLAM operations to provide support to the Tactical Training Group, Atlantic (TTGL). The selected candidate will take charge of overseeing and managing all elements related to TLAM exercise and certification timelines. You will be responsible for crafting TLAM certification program requirements and scenarios while offering comprehensive management support for the certification program.

The ideal applicant will have a background as a Fire Controlman or Fire Control Officer, with extensive experience in TLAM exercise and certification schedules. A minimum of five years' experience with the TLAM program, including participation in all critical phases of TLAM training events, is essential. Additionally, familiarity with Strike Group (SG) or Numbered Fleet Commanders (NFC) or equivalent experience in TLAM training is required. Experience as a JSAF operator for at least two years is preferred.

This position is contingent upon the successful award of a contract. The selected candidate will be offered employment based on the condition that the contract is awarded to Sigma Defense.

Qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience in:
    • TLAM program involvement across all major phases of TLAM training events (Phases I - III).
    • Experience with SG, NFC, or equivalent TLAM training.
    • 2 years of experience as a JSAF operator.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in:
    • Subject matter expertise for task requirements (e.g., Academics, Warfare Areas, Program or Policy support).
    • Training management.
    • Curriculum development.
    • Conducting fleet/joint training assessments to identify gaps and training needs.
    • Delivering training in various formats.
    • Creating and adjusting training event/exercise scenarios.
    • Managing training projects.
    • Leading teams or projects.
    • Designing tailored training to meet specific objectives.
    • Public speaking and presentation capabilities.
    • Engaging with senior staff at high levels.
    • Effectively managing multiple priorities and interruptions.
Security Clearance:
  • Must possess an active, DoD issued Top Secret security clearance or higher. A TS/SCI clearance level is required for this role.
  • Clearance sponsorship is available for the right candidate.
Education:
  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent experience.
  • Two additional years of Resource Band experience can substitute for a Bachelor's degree.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and coordinate all aspects of TLAM exercise and certification schedules.
  • Collaborate with lead exercise planners and directors from partner organizations during the planning and execution of synthetic training events involving TLAM scenarios.
  • Develop TLAM certification program requirements and scenarios, providing management support for the certification program.
  • Refine, supervise, and conduct distributed synthetic unit and SG TLAM proficiency assessments for certification.
  • Provide expertise in all areas of the TLAM training program, including Doctrine, NFC procedures, ROE, TTPs, and best practices.
