Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Part Time Faculty, English Instructor to join our team at DePaul University. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching courses in a variety of disciplines across all 10 colleges and schools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach courses in English literature and creative writing at the college level
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans to meet the needs of diverse students
  • Assess student learning and provide constructive feedback
  • Collaborate with department colleagues to ensure curriculum alignment and quality
Requirements
  • Master's degree in English Literature and/or Creative Writing, or three years of experience in the publishing industry
  • Demonstrated experience teaching in a diverse learning environment
  • Experience teaching literature and/or creative writing courses at the college level strongly preferred
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ph.D. in English Literature and/or Creative Writing
  • Experience with curriculum development and implementation
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
