Job Overview

Summit Contracting is a leading builder of agricultural structures in South Dakota and Nebraska, renowned for their commitment to excellence and pride in their work. We're seeking a skilled Post Frame Construction Carpenter to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare construction sites, materials, and tools for optimal performance.
  • Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment with precision and care.
  • Assist with the transport and operation of heavy machinery and equipment.
  • Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate construction.
  • Operate a variety of hand and power tools with confidence and skill.
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
  • Receive and carry out instructions with attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • Ability to understand directions and read blueprints with ease.
  • Capacity to work at heights exceeding 20 feet with confidence and safety.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Ability to travel as needed and work independently once instructions have been given.
  • Capacity to work a 40-hour week with overtime as required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Vocational school or technical college completion or equivalent on-the-job training and experience.
  • OSHA 10 Certification and Class A CDL preferred but not required.
