Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Certified Senior Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Walgreens. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting pharmacists with patient care, and maintaining accurate records.

Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent customer service, answering questions and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist pharmacists with patient care, including retrieving and counting medications, verifying prescriptions, and checking for potential interactions.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medication lists and allergy information.
  • Process prescriptions, including filling, labeling, and packaging medications.
  • Assist with inventory management, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, including reviewing and implementing new procedures and protocols.
  • Collaborate with other pharmacy team members to ensure seamless patient care and efficient operations.
Requirements
  • PTCB or ExCPT certification (except in Puerto Rico).
  • One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
  • Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
  • Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prefer to have prior work experience with Walgreens.
  • Prefer basic math skills (counting, measuring, and weighing medications).
  • Prefer basic level PC skills (for example: start up and shut down computer, use mouse to point and click, start and close programs, switch between programs, save files, print documents, and/or access information online).
  • Prefer knowledge of store inventory control.
