We are seeking a skilled and compassionate LPN Floater to join our team at Developmental Services of Dickson County. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will provide high-quality care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities in a community-based setting.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Skilled Nursing Services
- Assess and address the physical and emotional needs of individuals supported
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to promote health and well-being
- Administer medications and monitor vital signs
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and toileting
- Support Daily Living Activities
- Assist individuals with meal preparation and planning
- Help with light housekeeping and laundry
- Encourage and support individuals in maintaining their independence
- Collaborate with Interdisciplinary Team
- Work closely with other staff members to ensure comprehensive care and support
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of individualized care plans
- Meet Requirements and Qualifications
- Current licensure as a practical nurse in the state of Tennessee
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving history
- Ability to pass a background check and maintain confidentiality
- Education and Licensure
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current licensure as a practical nurse in the state of Tennessee
- Experience and Skills
- At least 19 years of age
- Valid driver's license for at least 3 years, acceptable driving history and proof of auto insurance as required
- Ability to pass a background check and maintain confidentiality
- Ability to work cooperatively with public, service recipients and their families, and co-workers
