Job Summary
We are seeking a Licensed Creative Arts Therapist to join our team at Sun River Health. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and conducting art therapy sessions to improve clients' physical, cognitive, or emotional well-being.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate art therapy groups for all clients.
- Maintain inventory of art supplies and order as needed.
- Attend mandatory in-service programs, including fire safety, infection control, clinical HIV/AIDS manifestations, transmission, prevention, psycho-social issues, confidentiality, and client's rights.
- Use creative processes to bring out artistic self-expression and help clients resolve conflicts and problems, develop interpersonal skills, manage behavior, reduce stress, increase self-esteem, and achieve insight.
- Design art therapy sessions or programs in consultation with clients or site administrators to meet client goals and objectives.
- Gather client information from case documentation, client observation, or interviews.
- Analyze client data to draw conclusions or make recommendations for art therapy.
- Select or prepare artistic media or related equipment or devices to accomplish therapy session objectives.
- Develop individualized treatment plans incorporating art therapy, counseling, or psychotherapy techniques.
- Provide guided self-expression experiences to help clients recover from or cope with cognitive, emotional, or physical impairments.
- Write treatment plans, case summaries, or other reports related to individual clients or client groups.
- Confer with other professionals on the client's treatment team to develop, coordinate, or integrate treatment plans.
Requirements
Education: Master's degree in Art Therapy
Experience: 2-4 years of relevant work experience
Salary Range: $44,850 - $51,675 per year
