Pediatric Echocardiographer

Inova Health System is seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Echocardiographer to join our dynamic team at Inova L.J. Murphy Children's Hospital.

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced sonographer to perform transthoracic echocardiograms for patients of all ages, including fetuses, premature neonates, newborns, and adults with congenital heart disease.

• Assist physicians in performing examinations using standard department protocols and sterile techniques.
• Recognize and resolve clinical and emergent problems that may interfere with exams.
• Communicate effectively with ordering and interpreting physicians to ensure appropriate use.
• Maintain active credential status by complying with continual education requirements.
• Report, document, and correct any adverse, unsafe, or unusual conditions.

• One year of experience after acquiring registry in a hospital/healthcare environment in the performance of cardiac or vascular sonography.
• Graduate of an accredited school/program of diagnostic medical sonography or 5 years specialized training in a hospital/healthcare setting.
• ARDMS Registered with RDCS Certification, or CCI Registered with RCS Certification for Echo, or ARDMS with RVT or CCI with the RVS; Certification for Vascular. BLS (AHA)
