Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Skilled Trade Mechanic to join our team at Utica Community Schools. As a Skilled Trade Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our school buses to ensure the safety and efficiency of our transportation operations.

Responsibilities:

* Conduct regular inspections of school buses to identify and address any maintenance issues
* Perform repairs and maintenance on school buses, including routine maintenance and emergency repairs
* Ensure all buses are in good working condition and meet safety standards
* Collaborate with other maintenance staff to ensure efficient and effective maintenance operations
* Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs

Requirements:

* ASE Certification, required within 18 months of hire
* Valid Michigan CDL Group A driver's license with applicable endorsements (P and S)
* 2+ years of experience as a skilled trade mechanic
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Strong problem-solving and communication skills
