Essential Responsibilities:

  • Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails and other drinks.
  • Deliver wine, beer, and other beverages to patrons.
  • Handle payments for served drinks.
  • Order and receive liquor and supplies.
  • Arrange bottles and glasses for an attractive display.
  • Prepare garnishes, such as fruit slices.

  • Ensure a safe and welcoming environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.

Accurately calculate costs and make change.

Communicate effectively with diverse patrons.

Stand or walk for extended periods.

Maintain dexterity to handle items efficiently.

Lift and carry heavy trays.

Physical Demands:

Light work: Exerting up to 20 pounds occasionally, 10 pounds frequently, and negligible force constantly.

Requires walking, standing, or sitting with occasional pushing and pulling of arm or leg controls.

Environmental Conditions:

Inside: Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.

Reasoning, Mathematical, and Language Development:

Apply common sense to carry out instructions and deal with standardized situations.

Specific Vocational Preparation:

Requires an occupationally significant combination of vocational education, training, or experience.

Over 30 days up to and including 3 months of experience is necessary.

Licenses and Certifications:

Current Food Worker's Permit (if applicable) and Current Liquor Server's Permit (if applicable).

Education and/or Experience:

High School completion or equivalent education and experience; Bartender Certification of training completed and verifiable bartender experience are necessary.
