Cardiac Nurse Per Diem Nights Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cardiac Nurse to join our team on a per diem basis, working nights. As a Cardiac Nurse, you will provide professional nursing care within an assigned unit, coordinating care planning with other disciplines and acting as a supervisor by assessing, planning, delegating, and utilizing independent judgment in directing other healthcare employees for the provision of patient care.

Responsibilities:
  • Provides individualized, age-specific, and direct bedside nursing care based on the nursing process and patient needs.
  • Coordinates care planning with other disciplines.
  • Acts as a supervisor by assessing, planning, delegating, and utilizing independent judgment in directing other healthcare employees for the provision of patient care.
  • Systematically evaluates the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice to identify patient goals.
  • Participates in hourly rounding.
  • Observes safety guidelines and safe work practices.
  • May be asked to be in charge for a shift(s).
  • Supervises other members of the healthcare team.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 1 year of acute care experience.
  • License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Arizona.
  • CPR and ACLS certifications.
  • Preferred certifications include OR and ACLS.
