This role will primarily operate from Memorial North but will require flexibility to float between Memorial North and Memorial Central campuses. FTE: Full Time, 1.0, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)

Shift: Days

Compensation: $57.44 per hour, commensurate with relevant experience.

Role Summary:
This position entails delivering direct patient care at a proficient level, adhering to the applicable scope and standards of practice, alongside the organization's policies, values, and mission. The nurse will monitor patients to ensure a safe environment, optimize outcomes, and utilize available resources effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare the environment and assess the patient prior to procedures, ensuring all safety checklists are completed.
- Respond to life-threatening situations by applying nursing standards and treatment protocols. Manage critical and high-pressure situations with efficiency and composure.
- Provide nursing care in a complex technical environment.
- Assess the educational needs of patients and/or families, delivering appropriate education based on age, culture, condition, and circumstances.

Qualifications:
  • Credentials:
    Essential:
    * Registered Nurse
    * Basic Life Support (BLS)
    * Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
  • Other Information:
    Minimum Required Education: Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program if less than 3 years' experience. Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
    Required Licensure/Certification: State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) and relevant licensure/certification as determined at position level. BLS Healthcare Provider certification and any relevant life support certification as determined at position level.
    Minimum Experience: 6 months of RN experience or completion of the UCHealth Fellowship program. ACLS certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
  • BLS certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer must be valid prior to the start date.
