**Job Summary**

GeorgiaGov is seeking a highly skilled Attorney 3 to join our team as a Workers' Compensation Mediator. As a mediator, you will play a critical role in facilitating the resolution of workers' compensation disputes and the settlement of claims.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Conduct mediation conferences via video conference or in-person throughout the state to facilitate the resolution of workers' compensation disputes and the settlement of claims.
  • Work as a mediator is key to moving an injured worker's claim towards a final resolution. Therefore, mediators must adhere to ethical and legal guidelines, ensure confidentiality of the process as well as maintain proficiency in Georgia workers' compensation law and current issues.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve disputes and achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of Georgia workers' compensation law and current issues.

**Requirements**

  • Must have a J.D. degree and be a member of the Georgia Bar. Alternatively, the candidate will have eligibility to sit for the next Georgia Bar examination or have reciprocity.
  • Must have superior interpersonal skills, sound judgment, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Experience in workers' compensation law is mandatory. The preferred candidate will have between three (3) and five (5) or more years of workers' compensation experience.
  • The ability to conduct occasional travel around the State of Georgia is mandatory, including the potential for consecutive days of overnight travel.
